Frankfurt Book Fair 2026

Frankfurt Book Fair is one of the most important marketplaces worldwide for printed and digital content and a great social and cultural event. Publishing experts, writers, and supply chain contacts from the creative industries across the world come together and Frankfurt becomes a hub for the media and publishing industry.

The event is usually attended by several DAISY Members, and there are typically several presentations with an accessibility focus. Of particular note is the LIA Networking event being held on October 7th in collaboration with the Börsenverein des Deutschen Buchhandels and the Frankfurter Buchmesse. “What’s next for accessible publishing? AI, new tools and old challenges” will explore some of the topics currently shaping accessible publishing: from the opportunities and limitations of AI and new developments in InDesign, to the challenges of fixed-layout publications, accessibility standards and quality assurance.

This event provides a chance to exchange experiences, discuss practical challenges and connect with publishers, accessibility experts and other professionals working to make digital publishing accessible to everyone.
