The time element

On this page:

The time element represents a calendar or clock-based statement of time.

If the value of the time element is not in a machine-readable format, the time attribute optionally allows the inclusion of an alternate representation.

Usage Example

<time time="1839">1839</time> and <time time="1845">-45</time>, on this
"law of the succession of types," —on "this wonderful relationship in
the same continent between the dead and the living."
