The ln variant of the ln element

The ln element represents a single line of text.

The lnum element can be added to the start of the ln to represent numbered lines.

Note that in addition to restrictions presented in the content model above, use of this element must also respect the following requirements:
  • The ln element must not contain descendant ln elements.
  • The ln element must neither be empty nor contain only whitespace.
