Tactile Reading & Graphics is a recurring international conference. In June 2025 in the Netherlands the event brought together over 500 worldwide participants contributing to making information accessible through tactile solutions. In addition to hearing about developments and approaches to braille reading and literacy, the conference also addressed topics around tactile graphics, drawings, new printing methods, 3D images and models, maths, computing and science, hymn books, comics and games, braille music, eBraille, braille converters and multi-line braille displays, and much more.

Over a very full three days of oral presentations, interactive workshops, table talks and show and tell presentations, the conference featured a varied program about all aspects of tactile reading. Participants shared knowledge, ideas and expertise from practical work, innovation and research, and left feeling ‘inspired, energized, stimulated and connected’.

You can review the program, photos and podcasts on the Tactile Reading conference website, and access speakers’ presentations shared in a special Dropbox folder.
