How to transfer content to Evo E10 & E11 DAISY Players
Evo E10 and E11 are portable eBook reading devices. They support content in different formats such as EPUB, DAISY, MP3 and TXT. For more information see – Evo E10 and E11 DAISY Player and Recorder Overview.
Note that these devices can connect to online libraries such as Bookshare using internet and can download books to the device. When the content is available locally, a computer is required to transfer files to Evo E10/E11 device in-built memory or its micro SD card. The procedure of copying files to this device is described below.
Method 1: Using a Computer (Windows/Mac)
Step 1: Connect the Device
- Turn on your Evo E10/E11.
- Connect it to your computer using the USB cable provided.
- Wait a few seconds — it will appear as a removable drive (like a USB stick).
Step 2: Open the Device Storage
- Open File Explorer (Windows) or Finder (Mac).
- Locate the Evo drive (usually named something like EVO or Removable Disk).
- You’ll see several folders like this:
- DAISY
- TTS Book
- Music
- Podcast
- Record
- Documents
Step 3: Copy Files to the Right Folder
Depending on the content type, copy files into the correct folder. The correct folder for different content types is given below.
Content Type | Folder Name |
DAISY books | DAISY |
Text documents (TXT, DOCX, PDF, EPUB) | TTS Book |
MP3 songs / Audio books | Music |
Podcasts (MP3, M3U) | Podcast |
Voice Notes | Record |
General documents | Documents |
Note: DAISY books must remain in their folder structure. Copy the entire folder, not just individual files. Do not copy the DAISY book as a ZIP file. Do not rename files inside the DAISY Book folder. The folder name can be changed however.
Other files such as EPUB or TXT should also not be compressed and copied as a XIP file.
Step 4: Safely Disconnect
- Eject the device properly:
- On Windows: Right-click the Evo drive → “Eject”.
- On Mac: Click the eject icon in Finder.
- Unplug the USB cable.
Method 2: Using SD Card or USB Flash Drive (if supported)
- Use a computer to copy your content into folders (as mentioned above) on an SD card or USB flash drive.
- Insert the microSD card into the Evo’s SD slot, or
- Plug in the USB drive via OTG (if using E10 with OTG support).
